Why did we choose Microsoft and what does this mean?.
Microsoft 365 means that our organisation will always use the latest version. The latest Office suite, Exchange, SharePoint or Skype for Business product is also available at all times. The transition will be fairly seamless, and the email is more intuitive, there isn’t much difference and no data will be lost. All your documents will be stored in SharePoint, this is Microsoft’s file storage platform.
What does Microsoft 365 Include?
While the core Microsoft 365 apps and services include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, there are many additional apps and services such as Sharepoint, MS Teams, OneDrive and OneNote.
Will my email address change? What happens with my existing emails and files that I have access to?
No, your email address won’t change! You’ll continue to receive all your emails at your current company address with the email firstname.surname@
How to login to Microsoft Office
- Go to office.com, Enter your username & click Sign in.
- Your user name / email doesn’t change. Please use the same login as previous Gmail Login
- All your previous mails should already been in your Microsoft 365mailbox
- All the emails will come to your new mailbox
- Set up your mobile device for Microsoft 365
- You will have access to work, excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, One drive & Sharepoint
I forgot my Password
On the Microsoft 365 sign-in page, select Can’t access your account?. Note: If you don’t see this link, go to self-service password reset tool to try to reset your password.
On the User verification page, type your work or school account name, enter the characters to verify that you’re not a robot, and then select Next.
Complete the verification step (Please choose the first contact method youshould use for verification)
Go back to the Microsoft 365 browser window, enter the code you received in email or mobile or app (Method depends on what you set up inititally), and select Next. …
Enter a new password, confirm it, and then select Finish.

What is Microsoft Authenticator
Microsoft Authenticator is a security app for two-factor authentication.. Our organization uses two-factor verification, you need to set up your work or school account to use the Microsoft Authenticator app as one of the verification methods. It simply means no one other than you can login to your email and access the resources
Important: Before you can add your account, you must download and install the Microsoft Authenticator app. If you haven’t done that yet, follow the steps in the Download and install the app article.
